Curiosity is the compass.
Creativity is the fuel.
Exploration is the journey.
FotoMunki is more than a photography portfolio—it's a creative playground built on a simple philosophy: curiosity over convention. Here you'll find fine art, travel, street, and black & white photography, along with stories, collections, and reflections inspired by the journey. Every image is an invitation to slow down, see the world from a different perspective, and discover the beauty that often lies just beyond the familiar.

Meet the Monkey
Hi, I'm Foto!
The monkey behind the lens.
Welcome to my creative playground.
Most photography websites are built around a niche. Landscape photographers photograph landscapes. Street photographers photograph street scenes. Conventional wisdom says that's how you build a recognizable brand.
FotoMunki isn't about conventional wisdom.
After leaving a career in technology to pursue photography, I realized the greatest opportunity wasn't simply changing careers—it was reinventing the way I create. That's where Foto came from—my curious, risk-taking alter ego who happily ignores the rules, jumps on a motorcycle, and heads off in search of the next photograph. He reminds me not to take myself too seriously and to never stop exploring.
Photography has always been my way of discovering the world. Sometimes that means wandering city streets, sometimes traveling with a camera, and sometimes chasing an idea that doesn't fit neatly into any genre. Along the way, my work has earned international recognition, but the awards have never been the destination—they've simply been milestones on the journey.
Returning to motorcycling after nearly three decades away reinforced that philosophy. Riding and photography both reward curiosity, focus, and a willingness to take the road less traveled. One inspires the other, and together they've become my favorite way to explore.
FotoMunki is intentionally separate from my professional identity. It's a place where curiosity matters more than categories, where exploration matters more than expectations, and where the focus stays on the work—not the photographer.
Because the best part of any journey isn't the destination—it's the discovery.
